Becky is a skilled counsellor and counsellor educator with over ten years experience in clinical and higher education settings. She has worked alongside people with a range of psychological, behavioural and social problems including anxiety, depression, stress, grief, loss, addiction, relationship breakdown, suicidal ideation, and abuse. She supports clients across the lifespan including children, adolescents, adults, families and older persons.
She has a warm, encouraging and gentle nature that enables her to build relationships of trust, confidence and respect. Her desire is to facilitate growth and change whilst respecting individuality.
She is a registered member of the Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia and has developed her counselling practice and teaching skills by participating in regular supervision, workshops and professional development training.
Becky has a special interest in grief counselling, having previously worked with adults and children as a Loss & Grief Counsellor with Anglicare SA. She is an accredited grief counsellor with GriefLine.
As well as working in private practice, Becky is also employed as a lecturer and course coordinator in the Counselling & Psychotherapy Graduate Program at the University of Adelaide.
